You are what your food eats.

You are what your food eats. This is so true! What we eat goes into our system and organs and either helps us or hurts us, whether it be right away (i.e. indigestion), or in the long run (i.e. cancer). The same goes for our food’s food.

I live on a farm and we try our best to raise our own food the best we can. For animals, this is the feed they are given. If you don’t eat meat, you still need to be aware of what your food eats. This means the fertilizers or nutrients you give your fruits and vegetables in your garden.

If you don’t have a way to raise your own meat or veggies at your home, make sure you buy the best food at the store that you can afford. I always try to buy USDA stamped products since they have strict guidelines that need to be followed.

Unfortunately, here in the U.S. of A., there aren’t the best guidelines and rules/laws for what is allowed in our beauty products and groceries. Be aware of the fact that just because something you want to buy says it’s natural or organic, doesn’t mean that it is. According to some research I’ve come across, companies are allowed to label something as natural even if it is a processed food as the finished product. Just be careful and watchful of what you’re actually buying and consuming. I hope this helps at least one person be able to make healthier choices to help them with their life!! 🙂

xoxo, Jen
